To increase swing speed, you need fast muscle twitch!  

You can create a fast muscle twitch by practicing alternately with heavy resistance and then a light resistance alternating for about 2 or 3 reps.  Doing this daily will definitely increase your body rotation, lag, and clubhead speed.

Ken Pierce of Golf Gym got some inspiration from Phil Mickelson recently, who also does this drill.  Ken demonstrates using Power Swing Plus. He then uses a club turned upside down for his speed drill.  I would tend to replace that with the Orange Whip, something I use regularly.  Pretty soon, I will purchase the Power Swing Plus, and along with my Orange Whip, will do these drills every day of the week for 30 days!  Watch for my report back at that time and tell you whether I have noticed an increase in distance.  Stay tuned!
