On the 19th of January, 2015 I posted an article called “The Young Guns Are Coming!”

This was a prediction of which promising “under 25-year old” players would do well in 2015. I also promised I would do a review at seasons end. Well, the results are in and this is what transpired!

On the PGA side, most of my picks got worse! Only Danny Lee, up 177 World Ranking Positions, Patrick Reed, up 6 and Justin Thomas, who moved up 92, improved on their positions from the start of the year. Matteo Manassero, the promising Italian, plummeted 407 World Ranking Points. Ouch! Conspicuously absent from my original list was current world #1 Jordan Spieth, who was #9 at the start of the year, but somehow eluded my eye!

Alison Lee made the biggest jump up the World Rankings from # 482 to #24. An upward move of 458 positions!

The LPGA did a lot better with 5 players improving their rankings.

Alison Lee jumped up 458 World Ranking points to get into the top 25, and Ariya Jutanugarn and Mika Miyazato both jumped 47 points.
