I have been teaching for almost 50 years.

(February 1st, 2016 will be my anniversary!)  In all of that time, I have seen more grips than you could shake a stick at.  And most of them bad!  As John Lubin, PGA instructor at Sand Barrens Golf Club near Cape May, NJ, says, the grip controls the clubface, and the clubface controls direction!

I will always ask my student to clap their hands.  The two palms will meet in the center with the thumbs pointing up.  Then I ask them to clap their hands with the thumbs pointing parallel to the ground or pointing down, and I get a strange look.  If you wouldn’t clap your hands like that, why would you try and grip a golf club like that?  Palms are always adjacent to one another to work as one unit.

John Lubin shows you the proper golf grip. Whether you have a weak or a strong golf grip… John will show you the perfect “correct” golf grip for you.
