Game Golf
I currently use Game Golf as my game tracking system of choice. It’s fairly easy to use, but I find remembering to “tap” the home device, which attaches to your belt, difficult to remember. I can put shots in manually after the round for any shots where I forget to “tap” after each shot. There are several shot tracking devices out there like Arccos and Club Hub, so how do we know which one is best and if this type of system will benefit your golf game? One of the main benefits I find as an instructor is I can go into my student’s system (after they have given me their username and password) and check out their golf games strengths and weaknesses before they come to school, so I know exactly what to work on when they arrive!
David Dusek of Golfweek Mag gives us an in-depth look at what is out there and the partnerships being formed with grip and club manufacturers to help you improve your game!
This week, David Dusek explains why game-tracking systems like Game Golf, Arccos and Club Hub are beneficial to amateur golfers and golf equipment companies.
Do you have these 17 essential items in your golf bag?

It is obvious to most golfers that these items should always be in your golf bag. However, it constantly amazes me how golfers often get caught out on the course with only one golf towel, only one pair of socks, no umbrella, and my favorite, no raingear! Below is a list of essential items in your golf bag, compiled by Joel Beall of Golf Digest for your future checklist before you go out and play. “Most Americans ride in a cart, so the weight of these products should not matter!” Go through this list and be more prepared the next time you go out to play!
Rain Gear
This includes jacket, pants, hat and rain gloves. Make sure you have a cover/hood for your bag so your sticks stay dry, too.
Umbrella

If you’re an avid golfer, you’re going to get end up in a storm on the course at some point. Prepare yourself in advance.
First-Aid Kit
This includes ibroprufen, bandages, wraps, lip balm, even a small knife for getting out splinters.
Gloves
Three is a good number: One for practice, one for play and one in reserve.
Wocket – A clever way to keep clubs and ball clean!

Let’s make one thing crystal clear. In no way am I involved financially or any other way with this company. I saw this going through my LinkedIn messages and thought this is such a great idea I had to share it with my readers! Very creative. A pair of pants that have a built-in towel. You watch the PGA Tour players wipe their hands or grip their club before they hit a shot because the caddie is standing right there. But, most of us arrive at our balls, and the towels are on our golf bags. Bummer! Now with this, it’s right there! I have to get some of these!
Finally, golf pants you’ll love wearing that work like gear.
Reality Is Our Inspiration.
Every sport has wearable gear that assists the player, except golf.
Quality golf and other shot making sports depend on good preparation of hands and equipment before every shot. Until now, golfers had to hassle with, reach for, carry, or go back for a towel (or worse, use their pants). This is a significant and time consuming distraction that is constantly repeated on every round, match or game.
It’s time shot making sports had wearable gear, rather than simply fashionable apparel that neglects the moment-to-moment realities of the game.
We constantly contend with dirt, water, grass, sweat, even fertilizers, yet it never occurred to anyone to make gear for us. The gear of other sports continue to advance and address the players needs.
With all the emphasis on technology and performance fabrics in athletic apparel, it amazes us that no one gets it right.
Wocket gets it right. We’ve designed a pant that looks, feels, and moves great, but addresses the realities of the game.
First, we’ve seamlessly incorporated a patented and discrete pocket with a built in microfiber towel. Always there, ready and powerful, this towel does so much more with so much less. Grooves are easy to get clean with the millions of microfibers that also pull moisture inward, so won’t get your pants wet. And it dries quickly due to the extraordinary surface area created by millions of microfibers.
We’ve gone further. We use performance and technical fabrics and anti-microbial coatings, that keep our gear looking and feeling great despite the realities of a messy sport. And we’ve added features like a marker magnet and an ergonomic glove grip that helps you keep it together and moving along during play.
Wocket will liberate your play from distraction, improve pace and flow, and maintain hand and equipment integrity quickly and conveniently. They are a joy wear.
Golf is too slow. Wocket will make your game faster, better and more fun and truly respond to the real needs of your game.

Easiest Way to Shop!
With Father’s Day about a month away, you’re wondering what to get for the golfing Dad in your life. Besides cruising your local ‘everything golf’ store, I can suggest that you peruse the offerings from frontgate.com. You can spend anywhere from $19.99 for a glass golf ball display case to $3349.00 for a Jack Nicklaus autographed Lithograph.
I like the floating golf green. I assume that the young woman is ‘not included with purchase.’
And these best golf gifts can be shopped for Dad in the comfort of your own home!
Another terrific gift idea for Dad is to purchase a 3-day golf school, where he can improve every aspect of his game, away from daily life distractions. Check out www.ritson-sole.com for locations, scheduling, and rates.

Golf Gadgets have always been a fascination for most golfers.
Things that can either help us improve our game or at least make it more fun. At this year’s PGA Show in Orlando, these are the best of the best. Congratulations to the designers, marketers, and just plain fanatics of the game!
