The Littlest Golfer, Inc. believes that children are never too young to start playing golf.
You can spark their curiosity about the game and make it a fun activity for the whole family to share, even if your youngest is a toddler.
Where can parents find training sets of clubs, clothing plus accessories, and even books and games designed to entertain your smallest golfer? The Littlest Golfer provides the complete lifestyle brand for children in one place. They have “First Set” training clubs for boys and girls ages 18 months to 5 years. They offer quality clothing with comfort and performance in mind, plus kid-friendly head covers, golf socks, etc.
When starting kids at a very young age, give them a light golf club (preferably plastic) and take them to a putting green. Tell them to see how many strokes it will take to get the ball in the hole. Don’t really count, just let them try. Cheer every time they get the ball close or in! They will do the rest!
Let’s hook them on golf young…..they’ll play for a lifetime!

3 Reasons to Choose a new kind of Golf Improvement program.
In 2013, two of my more mature golf students declared that our instruction was terrific, but they were worn out. This couple suggested that we shorten the school program from 3.5 hours to maybe 2 hours.

Thanks to those students, we designed a new class to help older players to reach their maximum potential without over-tiring them. Our Senior Golf School consists of 2 hours a day for three afternoons, where you work on all aspects of the physical game from tee to green. We address the lost strength and flexibility issues, and we put a big emphasis on short game skill improvement. Video analysis is included, and a personal lessons/drills video is provided via email for follow-up.
Never more than 4 people in the class!
3 advantages to the Senior Program at the Mel Sole Golf School:
serious, overall skills improvement that will bring you greater enjoyment when you play
shorter class time – two hours – means you’ll still have energy left following school

Here are 3 simple exercises that you can do every day in your home.
The only piece of equipment you need is either your driver or a broom handle. Do these stretches just before you tee off if you do not have time to warm up on the range. And even if you do have time to warm up, do these before you get started, and you will have an easier time getting into “full swing mode.”

Looking to get extra distance from your swing? Who isn’t?
I would like to have a dollar for every time I am asked the question, “Mel, How do I get more Distance?” Everyone wants to hit the ball further – even the long hitters! It boils down to one simple answer – get more clubhead speed. Practice swinging harder. Golfers seem to think they will hit the ball offline if they swing harder. No, poor technique hits the ball offline, not speed. Teach your body good technique while swinging hard. This is a learned skill, so go to the range and work on it. It won’t just suddenly appear.
There is definitely a correct sequence to get all the parts of the swing combined with increasing clubhead speed, so I have provided an easy drill (that you can do at home) to start you on the right path. Get the sequence correct, and you can swing as hard as you like and still hit the ball straight!
In this Mel In Motionvideo golf tip, Mel Sole identifies five keys to help you tap into your power and provides a drill that focuses on the center of your power source: hip rotation.

Unless you’re playing the PGA Tour, you’re likely playing courses with bunkers that have varying textures of sand, from hard pan to soft and fluffy.
Learning how to manage these tricky situations is critical to lowering your scores.
Last year, Mel Sole shared three pro tips for playing out of hardened bunkers. As mentioned, the approach for playing hardened bunkers versus soft bunkers is quite different. On location in Mexico, Mel explains the key to successful shots out of soft, fluffy sand in this month’s video golf tip. Watch now!
Last year when I filmed my tip about playing out of bunkers with hard sand, the practice bunker was perfect for that tip. The type of bunker a lot of golfers who lay at municipal courses face. This year the club had a surprise for me. They had redone the bunker, and the bunker now had soft, white sand, just like the golf course. I took advantage of that! So flow along as I explain the technique and the use of the correct equipment as well!
