I have never met anyone who enjoys playing golf in the rain. But, if you are already out on the course and the rain is not too severe (and no lightning), you can continue your round with these helpful tips by Rickard Stronget of Video Jug, a production of Sports And Outdoors. Correct clothing, lots of dry golf gloves and dry towels are essential items to have, so if you know there is rain in the forecast, pack these items in your golf bag before you tee off. Putting is one part of the game that any player can be equal to a PGA or LPGA player. It does not require strength or the ability to hit the ball long distances. So if you are an amateur golfer who does not have a lot of time for practice, here are 4 fabulous drills to improve your putting and make up a boatload of strokes. I have a student from Winston-Salem, NC, whom I regard as the best amateur putter I have ever seen. He does not hit the ball very far and yet can play to a 4 handicap. So go out and work on these drills, and you can lower your score but 5 to 10 shots per round, depending on your handicap!
