Watching a PGA Tour player hit a shot out of a fairway bunker is pretty boring.
Most of them hit the ball the same as if they were on the fairway. Unless they have a lip to contend with, or in some of these instances, an awkward lie, they are going to put it on the green almost 95% of the time. But when it comes down to the final hole, or in a playoff, then the stakes get higher, and the shot becomes a little more difficult. #1 is the best golf shot I have ever watched in my entire life! I have played that hole (from that bunker), and very few people in the world would have the ability to pull off that shot. This man certainly does!

When it comes to clutch hole outs, I always think of Greg Norman.

All golfers have seen their fair share of lucky and unlucky bounces in golf.
Most of us tend to remember our bad luck shots and totally y forget how lucky we were a few holes back or the previous day. Things have a way of evening out in the long run! So don’t get so mad next time you get a bad bounce – it means that a good bounce is just around the corner!
Sometimes we have even blamed bad luck as a reason for a poor shot. However, there are moments or even full golf rounds where we have felt that good luck was with us. Not often enough, I know!

Arnold Palmer’s nickname is “The King,” and for a good reason.
My introduction to the great Arnold Palmer was an LP record my father gave me for my 16th birthday by Arnie and Chris Schenkel. I was mesmerized by this great man! He inspired me to want to be a professional golfer!
He ruled the PGA Tour in the late ’50s and early ’60s and was golf’s most popular player. Arnie’s Army was created, and swarms of people followed him around loyally on his quest for victories. With Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player, they formed “The Big 3” and appeared on TV shows, had endorsement contracts, and made a good living. But both Jack and Gary agree that none of this would have happened without Arnold’s charisma. Arnie opened the door for all future professional golfers to make a great living out of a game they love to play.

They show the unusual, funny, and sometimes remarkable shots these Pros play. However, the shot that Cory Pavin plays on the 14th hole during the 2011 Allianz Championship has got to be one of the greatest up and downs I have ever seen in my long golfing life. This has to be seen to be believed!

Every week we watch in awe as PGA, LPGA, and European Tour players extradite themselves from really tough situations.
How do the players do this? Well, the answer is simple – they practice trouble shots. They cannot see into the future to know what kind of trouble shots they will face. However, if they practice trouble shots either on the range or on the course during a practice round, when they finally have a tough situation, they can call on those practice hours and figure out a way to get the job done. One of the shots they don’t show in the interesting series of top 10 shots that have hit the flagstick is Tiger Woods’s shot in the 2014 Masters on #15 hole.
Tiger hit the flagstick and ricocheted back into the water, possibly costing him victory! Here the PGA Tour gives us their Top 10 Unforgiving Flagsticks!

How exciting is it to watch Phil Mickelson in full flight! Almost (but not quite) as exciting as Tiger! He always entertains the gallery with his wink, thumbs up, and engaging smile. And, of course, the obligatory tip of the cap! How can you not like the guy?
I pull for him every time he is in contention. I don’t know how many wins he still has under his belt, but I sure hope a lot more. Really good for golf!
