Top 10 Longest Hitters of All Time on the PGA Tour!

The PGA Tour compiled an interesting list of the Top 10 Longest hitters of all time. 

I feel they left out one of the original “Long Hitters” from the PGA Tour’s early days and one I can remember from my days as a junior golfer.  His name was George Bayer, and I remember he had a contract with Mac Gregor Golf Clubs to hit his driver off every tee!  Not great for his scoring game, but it was what the crowds came to see.  He was “Boom Boom,” “Long John,” and “Slammin’ Sam” all rolled into one!  When the PGA uses a headline like “of all time,” I think even the players from every era should be recognized.  Shame on PGA.com.  Sorry, they did not mention him amongst these bombers!
