Stability in the golf swing starts with your feet.
If you have poor footwork, you will lose power and have difficulty swinging the club in the correct sequence. By practicing barefoot or in socks, as you see with Sean Foley here in the video presented by Golf Digest, you get the feel of how the feet contribute to the stability of the swing. Sam Snead, one of the sweetest swingers in the game, did this when growing up. Not as a drill per se, but because he couldn’t afford golf shoes! But look at what it produced! So step out into your beautiful lawn and make some good balance swings!
