British PGA member Mark Crossfield has been reviewing clubs for quite a while now on youtube. I have always enjoyed his reviews because he exhibits such a sense of wonder that you believe each club review must be his first!  That makes me want to watch just to see what happens.  In this video, Mark tests out the single-length King Cobra clubs, and plus, he provides his review on-course, something different that I found intriguing. Thank you so much for sharing, Mark.

Learning to control your emotions on the first tee can be really difficult if you don’t have a clear idea of what you really want to do with the shot.  The use of a pre-shot routine, visualization, and a practice swing that exactly mimics the shot you want to play are all things you can do to ensure that the all-important first shot goes sailing down the middle of the fairway!  Thanks to  Mark Crossfield and Coach Lockey for sharing their insights on how to get rid of those first tee jitters!  Also, controlling your emotions on the golf course is another important aspect of playing consistent golf!

An expert reviewer of golf clubs, Mark Crossfield, gives us his very positive review on the Mizuno JPX900 Forged.  Forged irons have a softer feel, but Mizuno has used a little bit of Boron in these clubs to give the head more strength, thus allowing them to feature a thinner face.  This gives more of a springboard effect which will definitely help the average golfer get more distance.  Check out what your nearest Mizuno certified club fitter is and have a fitting for clubs that will be perfect just for you!  Thanks to Mark Crossfield and GolfWrx for this great review!

I agree that hitting your chip shots thin (hitting the ball at its equator) is one of THE most annoying and frustrating shots in golf.  You are just off the green, ready to chip it up and tap in your par and BAM, you blade the ball across the green and into a bunker.  From there, you are doomed to a double bogey or worse.  To ensure that you do NOT do this, Mark Crossfield of AskGolfGuru gives you a couple of things to work on the next time you are at the range.

If you really want to improve your overall golf game, look at what the good players do.  I like to look for common denominators.  If there is something that most of the good players do, then that is something you want to incorporate into your golf game.  If there is something that none of them do, then that is something you want to stay away from.  Luke Donald and Lee Westwood are both former #1’s globally, and Danny Willett recently won the Masters.  So, pretty good players to emulate.  Mark Crossfield breaks down the swings of these 3 players and reveals the common denominators that made them great!

Golf Swing Weekly Fix Learn From The Best. In this week’s episode Mark Crossfield PGA professional talks about what he has learnt from 3 top PGA and European tour players. Taking a close look at Luke Donald, Lee Westwood, and Andy Sullivan’s golf swings and helping you understand what you can learn and take from these world class golfers.

Having Trouble with Alignment - Here is the Answer!

One of my teaching philosophies dictates that the set-up to your swing is the only time you are in 100% control.

You are in control of your posture, your grip, your ball position, the width of your stance, the distance you stand from the ball, the alignment of your hips, feet, and shoulders,  and finally, the tension or lack thereof while you are standing there.  So, IF you are in 100% control, why don’t you make sure your positions are 100% correct 100% of the time! At least then, if you hit a bad shot, you know that it is in the swing and not in your address position.

Mark Crossfield of Golfwrx gives you his 3 set-up faults he sees regularly.

There are quite a few misunderstandings that I come across in my teaching.  Misconceptions involving alignment, posture, and ball position are fairly common.  Here, Mark Crossfield talks about his 3 most common misconceptions and how they can confuse golfers if they do not understand what they are trying to accomplish, which is to hit the ball straight!

They say, “What you don’t know can’t hurt you.” That’s sometimes true in golf, but not if you believe one of these swing myths. Here’s the truth about the top-3 swing myths I hear when I work with golfers.

Mark Crossfield is a member of the British PGA and is an instructor with a good sense of humor.  His tips are fun and informative.  So check this out as he talks about how various wrist angles can affect the outcome of a golf shot and how changing these angles can cure your slice and gain you some distance!  Brilliant!

If you suffer from a slice, it could be due to your wrist angles throughout the swing. In this video, I provide a drill that will help you maintain the proper wrist angles and hopefully fix your inconsistencies.
